Since 2012, after the Federation of the German Automobile launched VDA standard module concept, until 2018, the VDA355 modules have been the mainstream for the electric vehicle market . During years, the VDA standard has been verified in real vehicles in Europe and globally for many years.

In end of 2018, when VW announced its comprehensive entry into electrification, launched the MEB platform, a modular platform for electric vehicles. After this, the global power battery industry chain has invested resources in developing related platforms and products.

The birth of the 590 module has never been to replace the 355 module. They will keep pace with each other and contribute to the development of new energy vehicles and the standardization of EV systems.

Following the industry standard, MEB590 modules developed by Lithium Storage, are rated for 6.66kWh, with NCM 113.5Ah, arranged in 8S format giving a nominal voltage of 29.36V. The modules designed by LS are nice compact size with high capacity and lightweight.

For 590modules, It realized that the single module with higher capacity under standard dimension and smaller quantity of modules to make assembly of the whole battery pack, which is the market trend pursues to.
